A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Copenhagen according to MMA Newsome as Lando Vannata is going to be in action against Marc Diakiese.
Vannata (10-3-2) has won just one of his last five under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming against Marcos Mariano at UFC 234. Vannata is winless when competing on “Fight Night” cards, having dropped a bout to Tony Ferguson at UFC Fight Night 91. Vannata has picked up ten wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Diakiese (13-3-0) has won just one of his last four in UFC competition and that lone win came over Joseph Duffy at UFC Fight Night London. Diakiese has competed a total of seven times thus far in the UFC and more than half of those encounters went the distance. Diakiese has seen eight of his sixteen professional MMA bouts go the distance and the fighter has won six of those encounters.
UFC Fight Night Copenhagen takes place on Saturday, September 28 from the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark with Jack Hermansson and Jared Cannonier headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
