Jingliang (14-4-0) enters the fight on a four bout winning streak, last defeating Zak Ottow by first round TKO at UFC Fight Night Shanghai. Jingliang hasn’t suffered a defeat in over two years, with that last loss coming to Keita Nakamura at UFC Fight Night 75. Jingliang also competed four times in 2017, which is the most active he has been in a single year since turning pro in 2007.

Matthews (11-3-0) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Bojan Velickovic at UFC Fight Night Sydney. Matthews started off his UFC run competing in the lightweight division, earning a record of 4-3-0 in that weight class. Matthews is fighting for the third straight time in Australia and it has been almost two years since he took a fight outside of the country.

UFC 221 takes place on Saturday, February 10 from the Perth Arena in Pert, Australia with Robert Whittaker and Luke Rockhold headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
