A women?s flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC 254 as Liana Jojua faces Miranda Maverick.

Jojua (8-3-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner with that lone win coming over Diana Belbita at UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige. Jojua is a former Fight Nights Global women?s flyweight champion, defeating Marina Mokhnatkina at FNG 83 to claim the gold. Jojua has picked up six of her eight professional MMA wins by submission, with another coming by KO/TKO.
Maverick (7-2-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a three fight winning streak. Maverick won the Invicta FC Phoenix Series 2 Flyweight Tournament, defeating DeAnna Bennett in the finals by third round submission. Maverick has picked up seven wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of submission.
UFC 254 takes place on Saturday, October 26 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
