Last weekend, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz defeated former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell by first round knockout in the main event of Golden Boy MMA: Liddell vs. Ortiz III.

Golden Boy MMA is not required to report pay-per-view buy rates, since they are not a publicly traded company. However, reports have surfaced stating that the buy rate was less than spectacular for the third bout between the two MMA legends.

Kevin Iole would also take to Twitter, stating that the show did around 25,000 buys:

There will never be an exact number released to the general public, but the show did air via pay-per-view and Fite TV. Fite TV was also set to hold a special Black Friday sale, making the show $19.99 for a short time, but those plans were nixed. A second event has yet to be announced by Golden Boy MMA at this time.
