A light heavyweight division bout is the first fight set for UFC Fight Night: Norfolk as #11 Antonio Rogerio Nogueira is in action against Jared Cannonier.
The bout was first reported by Combate.
Nogueira (22-8-0) has won just one of his last four fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Patrick Cummins at UFC 198. Nogueira is returning for the first time in just about a year, as his last bout was a loss to Bellator MMA Light Heavyweight Champion Ryan Bader at UFC Fight Night 100 in November of 2016. Nogueira has earned a total of five wins in the UFC, with two of those wins coming over light heavyweight champions in Tito Ortiz and Rashad Evans.
Cannonier (10-2-0) has won three of four fights in the UFC, over Cyril Asker, Ion Cutelaba and Nick Roehrick. Cannonier is also a former Alaska Fighting Championships Light Heavyweight Champion, defeating Tony Lopez at AFC 104 to win the gold. Cannonier is going to be fighting for the third time in 2017, which is the most active he has been during his UFC tenure.
UFC Fight Night: Norfolk takes place on Saturday, November 11 from the Ted Constant Convention Center in Norfolk, Virginia with no main event announced at this time. Fightful will provide live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
