A flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Shenzhen according to MMA Junkie as #9 Kai Kara-France is in action against Mark De La Rosa.
Kara-France (19-7-0-1NC) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated the duo of Elias Garcia and Raulian Paiva. Kara-France will enter the contest while riding a seven fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over two years. Kara-France also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 24, making it to the quarterfinals before losing to Alexandre Pantoja.
De La Rosa (11-2-0) has won two of his last three in the UFC, with those wins coming over the duo of Elias Garcia and Joby Sanchez. De La Rosa has suffered two losses as a professional MMA fighter, with both coming in the UFC to Tim Elliott and Alex Perez. De La Rosa has seen five of his professional MMA bouts go the distance and the fighter has won four of those encounters.
UFC Fight Night Shenzhen takes place on Saturday, August 31 from the Shenzhen Universade Sports Centre Arena in Shenzhen, China with Jessica Andrade and Weili Zhang headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
