The One Championship Featherweight Title is going to be defended in the main event of One Championship: Dawn Of Heroes according to MMA Fighting as Martin Nguyen defends the gold against Koyomi Matsushima.
Nguyen (12-3-0) is going to be making the second defense of his championship, which the fighter won by defeating Narantungalag Jadambaa at One Championship: Roots Of Honor. Nguyen is going to be competing in his sixth straight title bout and the fighter is also a former One Bantamweight Champion. Nguyen has competed fifteen times as a professional MMA fighter and just three of those bouts went the distance.
Matsushima (11-3-0) is undefeated thus far under the One Championship banner, defeating the duo of Marat Gafurov and Kwon Won II. Matsushima is also competing for the second time in less than two months, with his last bout happening in June of this year. Matsushima has seen just four of his fourteen professional MMA bouts and the fighter won all four of those encounters.
One Championship: Dawn Of Heroes takes place on Friday, August 2 from the Mall Of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines with Martin Nguyen and Koyomi Matsushima headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams on Bleacher Report Live.
