A light heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Adelaide according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as #11 Mauricio Rua faces #15 Tyson Pedro.
Rua (25-11-0) has won three of his last four, with those wins coming over the trio of Corey Anderson, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Gian Villante. Rua is also a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, defeating Lyoto Machida to win the gold at UFC 113. Rua has seen just seven of his professional MMA fights go the distance, with the fighter winning four of those seven.
Pedro (7-2-0) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone victory coming over Saparbek Safarov at UFC 221. Pedro is undefeated at UFC events held in Australia, defeating the aforementioned Safarov and Khalil Rountree. Pedro has seen just one of his nine professional MMA bouts go the distance and that came against Ilir Latifi at UFC 215 in September of 2017.
