Artem Lobov has a new opponent for UFC Fight Night Moncton after Zubaira Tukhugov was pulled from the card by the UFC and that opponent according to The Mac Life is Michael Johnson.
Lobov (13-14-1-1NC) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, having dropped bouts to Cub Swanson and Andre Fili. Lobov hasn’t picked up a win in almost two years, with that last victory coming over Teruto Ishihara at UFC Fight Night 99. Lobov has previously headlined a UFC card, suffering a unanimous decision loss to the aforementioned Cub Swanson at UFC Fight Night 108.
Johnson (18-13-0) has won just one of his last four fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Andre Fili at UFC Fight Night Lincoln. Johnson was also a finalist on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 12, losing to Jonathan Brookins in that final fight. Johnson has previously competed as a lightweight in the UFC, earning a record of 9-8-0 in that time frame.
UFC Fight Night Moncton takes place on Saturday, October 27 from the Moncton Events Centre in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada with Volkan Oezdemir and Anthony Smith headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
