A lightweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 241 as Nick Newell is going to be in action against Zach Zane.
MMA Junkie reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Newell (16-3-0) has won just one of two thus far under the Bellator MMA banner, with that lone win coming over Corey Browning at Bellator 225. Newell also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 14, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Alex Munoz. Newell has previously challenged for the WSOF Lightweight Title, losing to then champion Justin Gaethje at the WSOF 11.
Zane (14-9-0) is undefeated thus far in Bellator MMA competition, defeating Nainoa Dung by unanimous decision at Bellator 236. Zane competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 2, dropping a unanimous decision to Justin Gonzalez. Zane has picked up fourteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and ten of them came by way of submission.
Bellator 241 takes place on Friday, March 13 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Patricio Pitbull and Pedro Carvalho headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on DAZN.
