It would appear that another brother/sister combo is competing exclusively in One Championship as the promotion has allegedly signed Colbey Northcutt to a deal.
MMA Junkie reported the news, but the length of the contract or any financial numbers associated with the deal weren’t revealed at this time. Colbey, who is the sister of Sage Northcutt, is expected to make her promotional debut later this month against Putri Padmi.
Northcutt (0-1-0) is winless thus far as a professional MMA fighter, having dropped a bout to Courtney King via second round TKO at Legacy Fighting Alliance 14 in June of 2017. Northcutt had a successful run as an amateur MMA fighter, winning four of five contests before turning pro in 2017.
Padmi (0-1-0) made her professional MMA debut a little under a year ago at One Championship: Warrior’s Dream, losing to Dwi Ani Retno Wulan by unanimous decision. Padmi has no amateur MMA experience to speak of, so her pro MMA experience is the fighter’s only MMA experience.
One Championship 104 takes place on Friday, November 22 from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore with Amir Khan and Ev Ting headlining. Fightful will provide quick results of the show once it concludes, as it streams live on Bleacher Report Live.
