Report: Paul Daley Signs New Deal With Bellator MMA, May Fight MVP In Tournament

MMA

It would appear that the friction between Bellator MMA and Paul Daley has been vaporized at the moment because the British slugger has signed a new multi-fight deal with the promotion according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN

Helwani is also reporting that Daley is going to be the tenth man in the upcoming Bellator Welterweight Tournament and also wants to fight longtime rival Michael "Venom" Page in the opening round. There has only been one tournament fight made official at this time and it’s a clash of two former welterweight champions as Douglas Lima faces Andrey Koreshkov.

MVP did learn that Daley has signed a new deal with Bellator MMA, but Page believes the promotion bullied Daley into re-signing with them.

“The main reason I signed is because Bellator said I would get him first round that’s why I was pissed when I heard he bitched out,” Page said to MMANYTT. “He’s a bitch and was bullied into signing now I’m gonna destroy whats left of him.”

The Bellator Welterweight Tournament kicks off at Bellator 206 on Saturday, September 28 from the SAP Center in San Jose, California. There is no word at this time as to when the potential Daley versus MVP bout could be happening.
