Yan (13-1-0) has already picked up five victories under the UFC banner, last defeating Jimmie Rivera by unanimous decision at UFC 238. Yan has picked up thirteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of them have come by way of submission.

Faber (35-10-0) returned after a two-plus year layoff at UFC Fight Night Sacramento, defeating Ricky Simon by first round TKO. Faber has suffered ten losses as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to be beaten by way of submission.
