A middleweight division attraction is coming to UFC 254 as Phil Hawes is in action against Jacob Malkoun.

Hawes (8-2-0) is making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a four fight winning streak. Hawes just competed on Dana White?s Contender Series Episode 32, defeating Khadzhimurat Bastaev by first round TKO. Hawes also competed once in Bellator, defeating Michael Wilcox by first round TKO at Bellator 222 in June of 2019.
Malkoun (4-0-0) is also making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over three years. Malkoun is also competing for the first time in almost a year, as his last bout took place in October of 2019. Malkoun has picked up two of four wins by KO/TKO, with the remaining two coming by way of decision.
UFC 254 takes place on Saturday, October 24 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
