Philipe Lins has been pulled from the UFC Vegas 13 card, now Lins opponent in Don?Tale Mayes will fight Roque Martinez at UFC Vegas 14.
MMA Junkie first reported the news. Mayes (7-4-0) is winless in UFC competition, dropping bouts to the duo of Ciryl Gane and Rodrigo Nascimento. Mayes competed on Dana White?s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 4, defeating Ricardo Prasel by first-round TKO. Mayes has competed 11 times as a professional MMA fighter and two of those bouts went the distance.
Martinez (15-6-2) is also winless thus far under the UFC banner, dropping a bout to Alexander Romanov at UFC Vegas 10. Martinez has suffered six losses as a professional MMA fighter and three of them came to a combination of UFC/WSOF veterans. Martinez has competed 23 times as a pro MMA fighter and just eight of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Vegas 14 takes place on Saturday, November 14 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
