A women’s flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Auckland as Rachael Ostovich is in action against Shana Dobson.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, but its placement on the card isn’t known at this time.
Ostovich (4-5-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Paige VanZant and Montana De La Rosa. Ostovich hasn’t picked up a victory in over two years, with that last win coming over Karine Gevorgyan at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale. Ostovich also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26, making it to the quarterfinals before losing to Barb Honchak.
Dobson (3-3-0) also comes into the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Lauren Mueller and Sabina Mazo. Dobson’s last victory also came at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale, with that win coming over Ariel Beck. Dobson has competed six times as a professional MMA fighter and five of those encounters went the distance.
UFC Fight Night Auckland takes place on Saturday, February 22 from the Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand with Paul Felder and Dan Hooker headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
