A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Columbus as #11 Cody Stamann faces Raoni Barcelos.
Combate first reported the bout, but its position on the card isn’t known at the moment.
Stamann (18-2-1) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Alejandro Perez at UFC 235. Stamann hasn’t picked up a victory in nearly a year, with the aforementioned win at UFC 235 coming in March of last year. Stamann has picked up eighteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and ten of them came by way of decision.
Barcelos (15-1-0) is undefeated thus far in UFC competition, having defeated Kurt Holobaugh, Chris Gutierrez, Carlos Huachin and Said Nurmagomedov. Barcelos is a former RFA Bantamweight Champion, defeating Ricky Musgrave at RFA 29 to claim the gold. Barcelos has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Mark Dickman at RFA 14 in April of 2014.
UFC Fight Night Columbus takes place on Saturday, March 28 from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio with Francis Ngannou and Jairzinho Rozenstruik headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
