A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC 248 as Rodolfo Vieira is in action against Saparbek Safarov.
MMA DNA first reported the bout, but its position on the card isn’t known at this time.
Vieira (6-0-0) has competed once before under UFC banner, defeating Oskar Piechota by second round submission at UFC Fight Night Uruguay. Vieira has competed a total of six times as a professional MMA fighter and none of those bouts went the distance. Vieira has picked up six wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of submission.
Safarov (9-2-0) has won just one of three in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Nicolae Negumereanu at UFC Fight Night London. Safarov is back in action for the first time in about a year, as UFC Fight Night London took place in March of 2019. Safarov has competed eleven times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance.
UFC 248 takes place on Saturday, March 7 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
