Report: Rory MacDonald & Douglas Lima Pass Drug Tests Ahead Of Bellator 232

Bellator MMA Welterweight Champion Rory MacDonald defends the gold against Douglas Lima in a rematch that will serve as both the main event of Bellator 232 and the finals of the Bellator Welterweight World Grand Prix. 

Rigorous drug test was done in the lead up to the bout by the Mohegan Tribe Department Of Athletic Regulation (MTDAR). MTDAR director Mike Mazzulli has informed MMA Fighting that both champion and challenger have passed all drug tests in the lead up to their bout. Mazzulli also revealed that both fighters will get tested once again before the bout and once again after their fight.

The athletic commission director also stated that both MacDonald and Lima participated in all drug tests without any issues. 

There is no word yet on whether or not any of the other fighters competing on the Bellator 232 card were tested, as such notables as Paul Daley, Sabah Homasi, Patrick Mix and others are in action on that night.

Bellator 232 takes place on Saturday, October 26 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Rory MacDonald and Douglas Lima headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
