A women?s flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC 246 as #9 Roxanne Modafferi faces #10 Maycee Barber.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, although its placement on the card isn?t known at this time.
Modafferi (23-16-0) has rotated wins and losses in her second UFC run, with the latest bout being a loss to Jennifer Maia at UFC Fight Night San Antonio. Modafferi has competed twice before on the UFC Ultimate Fighter, taking part in TUF 18 and TUF 26. Modafferi has previously fought for the UFC Women?s Flyweight Title, losing to then champion Nicco Montano at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale.
Barber (8-0-0) has already competed three times under the UFC banner, defeating the trio of Hannah Cifers, JJ Aldrich and Gillian Robertson. Modafferi also competed on Dana White?s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 13, defeating Jamie Colleen by third round TKO. Modafferi has competed a total of eight times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance.
