Report: Ryan LaFlare Takes On Alex Garcia At UFC Fight Night Atlantic City

A welterweight division attraction may be coming to the UFC Fight Night Atlantic City card according to Newsday as Ryan LaFlare could be battling Alex Garcia.

LaFlare (13-2-0) has won two of his last three encounters under the UFC banner, but is coming off of a loss to Alex Oliveira at UFC On Fox 25. LaFlare also returns to a “Fight Night” card for the first time in over three years, with that last appearance being a loss to Damien Maia at UFC Fight Night 62. LaFlare has seen seven of his eight bouts in the UFC go the distance, earning a 6-1-0 record in those fights.

Garcia (15-4-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last seven UFC appearances, with the last fight being a submission win over Muslim Salikhov at UFC Fight Night Shanghai. Garcia has suffered all of his professional MMA defeats by KO/TKO or decision, having yet to be submitted. Garcia also suffered just one loss outside of the UFC auspices and that came to UFC veteran Seth Baczynski at Ringside MMA 10 in April 2011.

UFC Fight Night Atlantic City takes place on Saturday, April 21 from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey with Edson Barboza and Kevin Lee headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
