Report: Shane Burgos Re-Signs With UFC

Shane Burgos was last seen in action at UFC 244, scoring a third round TKO victory over Makwan Amirkhani.

That won’t be the last time that UFC fans will see Burgos in action because the fighter has reportedly re-signed with the UFC. Brett Okamoto of ESPN first reported the news, but the length of the newly signed contract or any financial numbers associated with the deal weren’t revealed at this time.

Burgos (13-1-0) is in the midst of a three fight winning streak, defeating the three pack of Cub Swanson, Kurt Holobaugh and the aforementioned Amirkhani. Burgos has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came via third round TKO at Calvin Kattar at UFC 220. Burgos has picked up thirteen wins as a professional MMA fighter, with ten of them coming via a combination of KO/TKO and/or submission. Burgos has competed a total of fourteen times as a professional MMA fighter and just three of those bouts went the distance.

There is no word yet as to when Burgos will compete again, but the fighter is currently ranked #12 in the UFC Featherweight Division.
