Report: Shawn Bunch Faces Dominic Mazzotta At Bellator 219


A bantamweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 219 according to MMA Junkie as Shawn Bunch is going to be in action against Dominic Mazzotta.

Bunch (8-3-0) has won four fights under the Bellator MMA banner, with that last win coming over former two division champion Joe Warren at Bellator 210. Bunch will enter the bout while riding a four fight winning streak and has hasn’t suffered a defeat in over three years. Bunch has picked up eight victories as a professional MMA fighter and five of them have come by way of decision.

Mazzotta (14-2-0) has won two of three fights in Bellator MMA competition, with those wins coming over the duo of Josh Sampo and Matthew Lozano. Mazzotta has suffered just two defeats as a professional MMA fighter and both of those losses have come by way of KO/TKO. Mazzotta enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost two years.

Bellator 219 takes place on Friday, March 29 from the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California with Saad Awad and Brandon Girtz headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
