Report: Steve Mowry Off Bellator 239 Due To Health Concerns

Steve Mowry and Rudy Schaffroth were supposed to meet this Friday Night on the preliminary card of Bellator 239, but that bout won’t be happening now.

That’s because Mowry has been pulled from this Friday Nights card due to health concerns.

“Hey guys. Due to a health concern I won’t be fighting this weekend. I’m hoping the issue will resolve soon and I'll be rescheduled in a few weeks.”

Schaffroth has also been pulled from the card as well according to MMA Junkie, as a suitable replacement couldn’t be found in time.

Mowry says that he’ll be rescheduled to fight again in a few weeks, but neglected to mention if Schaffroth is going to be the opponent at that time.

Bellator 239 takes place on Friday, February 21 from the Winstar World Resort & Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Ed Ruth and Yaroslav Amosov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
