A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Island 6 as Thomas Almeida faces Jonathan Martinez.

Almeida (21-3-0) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner with that lone win coming over Albert Morales at UFC Fight Night 100. Almeida is competing for the first time in almost three years, with his last fight occurring in January of 2018. Almeida has picked up 17 of 21 wins by way of KO/TKO, with another three coming by way of submission.
Martinez (12-3-0) has won three of five altogether in the UFC, with those wins coming over Frankie Saenz, Wuliji Buren and Pingyuan Liu. Martinez has suffered a total of three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came against UFC veterans. Martinez has picked up eleven wins as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Island 6 takes place on Saturday, October 17 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
