Report: Henry Cejudo Defends The Flyweight Title Against TJ Dillashaw At UFC 233

The UFC Flyweight Title is going to be defended in the main event of UFC 233 as Henry Cejudo puts the gold on the line against TJ Dillashaw

Although Combate first reported the bout, it was MMA Junkie that reported that the flyweight strap is going to be on the line back on November 7. UFC confirmed the bout Monday night.

Cejudo (13-2-0) is the current UFC Flyweight Champion, but the men’s version of the division is expected to be eradicated by the end of the year. Cejudo captured the UFC Flyweight Title at UFC 227, defeating Demetrious Johnson by split decision to claim the gold. Cejudo has suffered just two defeats as a professional MMA fighter, with those losses coming to the aforementioned Johnson and Joseph Benavidez.

Dillashaw (16-3-0) is currently in the midst of his second reign as the UFC Bantamweight Champion, last defending it against Cody Garbrandt at UFC 227. Dillashaw is currently in the midst of his second reign as the UFC Bantamweight Champion, with the first reign beginning at UFC 173. Dillashaw enters the contest while riding a four fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in nearly three years.
