Report: Two Bouts Added To UFC Fight Night Wichita, Tim Boetsch In Action

A pair of bouts have been added to UFC Fight Night Wichita according to MMA Junkie as Anthony Rocco Martin faces Sergio Moraes and Omari Akhmedov faces Tim Boetsch.

Martin (15-4-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Keita Nakamura, Ryan LaFlare and Jake Matthews. Martin has seen his last seven bouts make it into the third round and it has been almost four years since the fighter didn’t see round three.

Moraes (14-3-1) will come into the contest while riding a two bout winning streak, beating the duo of Tim Means and Ben Saunders. Moraes has picked up fourteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them have come by way of submission.

Akhmedov (17-4-1) is backing in action for the first time in over a year, with his last bout happening at UFC 219 in December of 2017. Akhmedov has seen his last three fights go the distance and it has been almost three years since the fighter got a finish.

Boetsch (21-12-0) has won just one of his last three in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Johny Hendricks at UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City. Boetsch hasn’t had a fight go the distance in over five years and the fighter has won five of eight bouts that have gone to the judges scorecards.

UFC Fight Night Wichita takes place on Saturday, March 9 from the Intrust Arena in Wichita, Kansas with Derrick Lewis and Junior Dos Santos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
