A heavyweight division attraction has been added to the upcoming Bellator 233 card as Tyrell Fortune is in action against Azunna Anyanwu.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, which is expected to be a part of the main card.
Fortune (7-0-0) has spent his entire professional MMA career competing in Bellator MMA, picking up four wins by way of KO/TKO. Fortune is competing for the third time this year, making 2019 his most active year as a professional MMA fighter. Fortune has competed a total of seven times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.
Anyanwu (15-5-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this encounter and does so having won six of his last seven bouts. Anyanwu competed once under the UFC banner, which was a split decision loss to Justin Ledet at UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh. Anyanwu also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 1, defeating Greg Rebello by second round knockout.
Bellator 233 takes place on Friday, November 8 from the Winstar World Resort & Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Costello Van Steenis and John Salter headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
