A featherweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 221 according to MMA Junkie as Tywan Claxton is going to be in action against Jame Bennett.
Claxton (4-0-0) is undefeated thus far as a professional MMA fighter and that streak has already lasted over a year. Claxton has spent his entire professional MMA career competing in Bellator MMA, making a promotional and professional MMA debut at Bellator 186 in November of 2017. Claxton has picked up four wins as a professional MMA fighter, with three of them coming by KO/TKO and one by way of decision.
Bennett (3-0-0) has already competed once under the Bellator MMA banner, having defeated Dustin Stusse by first round TKO at Bellator 198. Bennett is also returning to action for the first time in over a year, as his last bout took place in April of last year. Bennett has competed three times as a professional MMA fighter and all three of those bouts ended within the opening round.
Bellator 221 takes place on Saturday, May 11 from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois with Michael Chandler and Patricky Pitbull headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on DAZN.
