Report: UFC 241 Preliminary Card Draws Over 800,000 Viewers

This weekend, MMA fans were treated to the UFC 241 pay-per-view event, which saw Stipe Miocic defeat Daniel Cormier by fourth round knockout to reclaim the UFC Heavyweight Title in the main event.

A four fight preliminary card would air live on ESPN before the pay-per-view broadcast and that brought in 817,000 viewers according to MMA Fighting. The four bouts that were a part of that preliminary card saw Khama Worthy defeat Devonte Smith, Cory Sandhagen defeated Raphael Assuncao, Casey Kenney defeat Manny Bermudez and Drakkar Klose defeat Christos Giagos.

It was the featured preliminary card bout between Worthy and Smith that brought in the most viewers, with 949,000 people checking out that encounter.

There was a lot of counter programming going up against the UFC 241 preliminary card, with preseason NFL on the NFL Network, Nascar on the NBC Sports Network and a Little League World Series Game on ESPN 2.

Up next for the UFC is UFC Fight Night Shenzhen, featuring Jessica Andrade defending the UFC Women?s Strawweight Title against Weili Zhang in the main event, with the preliminary card airing live on ESPN and the main card streaming live on ESPN+.
