The UFC is making its highly anticipated debut in Russia this coming September with UFC Fight Night Moscow, which is being headlined by a heavyweight division encounter between Mark Hunt and Aleksei Oleinik.
UFC’s Senior Vice President of International & Content David Shaw recently spoke to Tass.ru, where he denies the promotion has lowered ticket prices, but instead says prices were fixed to make sure people from all financial statuses can come to the show.
”We can not say directly that we have lowered the price of tickets,” Shaw said. “It’s just that there is a large part of the Russian population that would like to see the UFC, so we made sure that everyone who wants to attend the tournament, will be able to do it.”
Also, it would appear that the broadcast plans are set for the event, which is reportedly streaming in its entirety on UFC Fight Pass.
UFC.com’s Damon Martin tweeted the following about the broadcast plans:
UFC Fight Night Moscow takes place on Saturday, September 15 from the Olimpiysky Stadium in Moscow, Russia with Mark Hunt and Aleksei Oleinik headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
