Report: UFC Fight Night Washington DC Brings In Over 1 Million Viewers

This past weekend, MMA fans were treated to a single major event in the form of UFC Fight Night Washington DC, which was headlined by Jairzinho Rozenstruik scoring a fifth round knockout win over Alistair Overeem.

MMA Fighting is reporting that the main card, which aired live on ESPN, brought in an average of 1,071,000 viewers and it was the main event that brought in the most viewers, with 1.4 million checking out that encounter.

Other bouts on the main card saw Marina Rodriguez fight Cynthia Calvillo to a draw, Ben Rothwell defeat Stefan Struve, Aspen Ladd defeat Yana Kunitskaya, Cody Stamman fight Song Yadong to a draw and Rob Font defeat Ricky Simon.

A four fight preliminary card also aired live on ESPN, with Tim Means defeating Thiago Alves in the featured spot, and that brought in an average of 696,000 viewers. Other bouts on that portion of the preliminary card saw Billy Quarantillo defeat Jacob Kilburn, Bryce Mitchell defeat Matt Sayles and Joe Solecki defeat Matt Wiman.

Up next for the UFC is UFC 245, which will see a four fight preliminary card headlined by Mike Perry and Geoff Neal, and that airs live on ESPN 2.
