Report: UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till Main Card Drew 900,000+ Viewers

Two major MMA events took place this past weekend in the form of UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till and Bellator 242.

The weekend ended with the UFC card, which was headlined by former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker defeating Darren Till, and MMA Fighting reports that the main card brought in 908,000 viewers on ESPN. Other main card fights saw Mauricio Rua defeat Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Fabricio Werdum defeat Alexander Gustafsson, Carla Esparza defeat Marina Rodriguez, Paul Craig defeat Gadzhimurad Antigulov, Alex Oliveira defeat Peter Sobotta and Khamzat Chimaev defeat Rhys McKee.

There was also an eight fight preliminary card that aired on ESPN and that brought in an average of 483,000 viewers according to MMA Fighting. The preliminary card featured such notable fighters as Francisco Trinaldo, Nicolas Dalby, Pannie Kianzad, Bethe Correia and Nathaniel Wood.

Bellator MMA kicked off the weekend with Bellator 242, which was headlined by Sergio Pettis defeating Ricky Bandejas, and that brought in 277,000 viewers. Other fights on the Paramount Network main card saw Jason Jackson defeat Jordan Mein, Aaron Pico defeat Solo Hatley and Jay jay Wilson defeat Tywan Claxton.

Up next for the UFC is UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Shahbazyan, which takes place this Saturday Night exclusively on ESPN+, while Bellator MMA has the weekend off.
