Report: Viviane Pereira Opts To Not Re-Sign With UFC

MMA

It would seem like female strawweight fighter Viviane Pereira’s time with the UFC has come to an end, as Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA is reporting that the fighter has chosen not to sign a new contract with the promotion. Pereira allegedly stated that she didn’t re-sign with the UFC due to “certain criteria” from the promotion.

Pereira went 2-2-0 in the UFC, with those victories coming over Valerie Letourneau and Jamie Moyle, while the losses came to Tatiana Suarez and Xiaonan Yan. Pereira’s last bout in the promotion came at UFC Fight Night Singapore (2018), where she suffered a decision loss to the aforementioned Yan.

Unranked UFC Fighters to Watch out for in 2024

The Brazilian competed in the Xtreme Fighting Championships International and Bitetti Combat promotion prior to coming to the UFC in late 2016, defeating fellow UFC veteran Poliana Botelho at Bitetti Combat 20 in June 2014. It has been a year since Pereira picked up her last win as a professional MMA fighter, which came over the aforementioned Jamie Moyle at UFC 212.

There is no word at this time as to where Pereira may sign with next, but whenever she fights again, it would mark Pereira’s first fight outside of the UFC in just over two years.
