Report: VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena To Host UFC 249

Former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson and former WSOF LIghtweight Champion Justin Gaethje are set to battle for the vacant UFC Interim Lightweight Title in the main event of UFC 249.

It has recently been reported that the event is going to be held in the state of Florida and according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, UFC 249 is going to be held at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.

The UFC and UFC President Dana White have been tight lipped about the event, as they have yet to publicly disclose any information of UFC 249 outside of the card itself.

There is no word at this time if UFC 249 is going to be the only event held at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena or if any future cards are going to be held there as well during the coronavirus pandemic.

UFC 249 takes place on Saturday, May 9 from the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida with Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
