Report: Warlley Alves Faces James Krause At UFC Fight Night Lincoln

A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Lincoln according to Raphael Marinho of Combate as Warlley Alves faces James Krause.

Alves (12-2-0) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Salim Touahri and Sultan Aliev. Alves has only suffered two losses as a professional MMA fighter and both came in the UFC, with those who defeated him being Bryan Barberena and Kamaru Usman. Alves also holds a win over current UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington, with that victory coming by first round submission at UFC 194.

Krause (25-7-0) enters the contest on the strength of a four fight winning streak, having defeated Daron Cruickshank, Shane Campbell, Tom Gallicchio and Alex White. Krause has seen his last three fights go the distance and it has been three years since the fighter got a finish. Krause also competed on both the UFC Ultimate Fighter 15 and the UFC Ultimate Fighter 25, holding a 2-2-0 record on the reality show.

UFC Fight Night Lincoln takes place on Saturday, August 25 from the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska with Justin Gaethje and James Vick headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
