A featherweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 228 according to MMA Fighting as Weber Almeida is going to be in action against Castle Williams.
Almeida (2-0-0) has competed once before under the Bellator MMA banner, defeating Odan Ruiz by first round knockout at Bellator 214. Almeida’s other professional MMA bout came at Brutality MMA: Nascimento vs. Lopes, defeating Bruno Senna by first round TKO. Almeida has competed two times as a professional MMA fighter and neither of those bouts went past the opening round.
Williams (3-2-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout and does so having won two of the last three bouts. Williams is going to be returning to action for the first time in almost three years, with his last bout happening in February of 2017. Williams has competed five times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those encounters went the distance.
Bellator 228 takes place on Saturday, September 28 from The Forum in Inglewood, California with Patricio Pitbull and Juan Archuleta headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on DAZN.
