A bantamweight division attraction is the latest addition to Bellator 214 according to MMA Fighting as Weber Almeida is going to be in action against Odan Chinchilla.
Almeida (1-0-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout and will also be returning to action for the first time since September of 2015. Almeida has competed just once as a professional MMA fighter, defeating Bruno Senna by first round TKO at Brutality MMA. Almeida is a longtime member of the Machida Karate Team, which is where former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida trains at.
Chinchilla (0-0-0) is not only going to be making his Bellator MMA debut at Bellator 214, but a professional MMA debut as well. Chinchilla competed once as an amateur MMA fighter, suffering a second round TKO loss to Johann Runio at Rocky Mountain Fighting Championships 9. Chinchilla is going to be competing for the first time in over five years, with his last bout taking place on January of 2014.
Bellator 214 takes place on Saturday, January 26 from The Forum in Inglewood, California with Ryan Bader and Fedor Emelianenko headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
