A catchweight division affair has been added to Bellator 224 according to MMA Fighting as Will Fleury is going to be in action against Antonio Jones.
Fleury (5-1-0) has won just one of two under the Bellator MMA banner, defeating Shaun Taylor and suffering a defeat to Alen Amedovski. Fleury has competed a total of six times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts have gone the distance. Fleury also went undefeated during his time as an amateur MMA fighter, with two of those three wins coming by way of submission.
Jones (6-1-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout and is also looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat. Jones competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 13, suffering a first round TKO loss to Edmen Shahbazyan. Jones is also a former Fury FC Middleweight Champion, defeating Roger Narvaez to win the gold in June of 2017.
Bellator 224 takes place on Friday, July 12 from the Winstar World Casino & Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Julia Budd and Olga Rubin headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
