A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho as Yancy Medeiros is in action against Lando Vannata.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, but its position on the card isn’t known at this time.
Medeiros (15-6-0-1NC) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Donald Cerrone and Gregor Gillespie. Medeiros hasn’t picked up a victory in over two years, with that last victory coming over Alex Oliveira at UFC 218. Medeiros has picked up fifteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them have come by KO/TKO.
Vannata (10-4-2) has won just one of his last six under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Marcos Mariano at UFC 234. Vannata is winless when competing on “Fight Night” cards, having gone 0-2-0 on those particular cards. Vannata has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and three of them came by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho takes place on Saturday, February 15 from the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico with Corey Anderson and Jan Blachowicz headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
