A welterweight division affair is reportedly set for UFC On Fox 29 according to Farah Hannoun as Yushin Okami could be in action against Dhiego Lima.
Okami (34-11-0) is winless thus far since returning to the UFC, dropping a bout to Ovince St. Preux in the main event of UFC Fight Night Japan. Okami has previously challenged for the UFC Middleweight Title, losing to then champion Anderson Silva at UFC 134 in August 2011. Okami has also challenged for the World Series Of Fighting Middleweight Title, losing to then champion David Branch at the WSOF 15.
Lima (12-6-0) enters the contest on a two fight losing streak and the fighter hasn’t earned a victory in almost two years. Lima made it to the finals of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 25, losing to Jesse Taylor in the finals of the reality show. Lima won just one of four fights in his first UFC run, with that lone win coming over Jorge Antonio Cezario De Oliveira at UFC Fight Night 56.
UFC On Fox 29 takes place on Saturday, April 14 from the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
