Bellator 244 Prelims Highlights: Weber Almeida Scores 1st Round KO

Weber Almeida and Yaroslav Amosov brutalized their opponents on the Bellator 244 preliminary card.

Yaroslav Amosov def. Mark Lemminger by TKO via doctor stoppage (5:00, R1)

Amosov knocked down Lemminger and put a whooping from top position for almost the entire round. Lemminger managed to hold on until round two, but it was no use as the doctor stopped the fight in between rounds to two a cut over Lemminger's eye.

Sidney Outlaw def. Adam Piccolotti by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)

Outlaw and Piccolotti exchanged positions on striking and grappling, fighting tooth-and-nail to a hard-fought split decision that leaned in favor of Outlaw.

Josh Hill def. Erik Perez by unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)

Hill mixed up his wrestling, ground control and stand-up nicely in an overwhelming effort that earned him a unanimous decision against Perez.

Weber Almeida def. Salim Mukhidinov by KO via strikes (3:57, R1)

Almeida made quick work of Mukhidnov against the cage in a fight that should have arguably been stopped sooner.

John De Jesus def. Vladyslav Parubchenko by unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 29-28)

Both men threw hard shots that hurt their opponents, but it was De Jesus who got the better of the exchanges en route to a unanimous decision. Check out the napalm-like flying knee De Jesus threw in the second.

Chris Gonzalez def. Vladimir Tokov by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 30-27)

Gonzalez earned a hard-fought split decision against a very game Tokov. Both guys traded on the feet and shot for take downs but it was ultimately Gonzalez who got a nod from two judges.

Lucas Brennan def. Will Smith by TKO via strikes (4:14, R2)

Brennan takes down Smith in both rounds before earning a ground-and-pound TKO victory late in the second.
