The 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil officially kicked off on August 5. Fightful.com will be doing daily Olympic boxing coverage and results. The first day already has its fair share of stories, most notably the absence of Moroccan boxer Hassan Saada, due to a sexual assault charge. Mehmet Nadir Ünal of Turkey was supposed to go up against Saada in a Round of 32 bout in the light heavyweight division, but as such, will get the pass to the next round instead. The host nation, Brazil, started 2-1 in this opening day for boxing. Not bad so far.
