Other big news from the event was that a pair of UFC veterans in Angela Magana and Hatsu Hioki both suffered defeats, with Magana tapping to Kanako Murata and Hioki suffering a TKO loss to Miku Asakura. Kiichi Kunimoto was the only UFC veteran to get a win at the event, as he defeated Ryuichiro Sumimura by first round submission.
