ShoBox: The New Generation 5/10 Results: Ruben Villa Dominates Main Event

The latest edition of ShoBox: The New Generation saw unbeaten prospect Ruben Villa keep his perfect record with an impressive performance in the main event.

Villa defeated Luis Alberto Lopez by unanimous decision to pick up the WBO International featherweight title. Villa outboxed Lopez throughout the fight and even managed to open a cut near Lopez's left eye from a punch in the fourth round en route to the win. With the win, Villa improved his record to 16-0 and moves one step closer to being ranked by the WBO's top 15 soon. The Showtime-televised tripleheader also featured the likes of Saul Sanchez and Michael Dutchover picking up knockout wins in their respective fights.
