UFC 317 took place from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
The main event featured Ilia Topuria knocking out Charles Oliveira in the first round to capture the vacant UFC Lightweight Championship left vacant by Islam Makhachev as he moved up in weight. Topuria himself moved up from Featherweight after capturing and vacating that championship. He's now 17-0, including wins over Charles Oliveira, Max Holloway and Alexander Volkanovski consecutively.
Alexandre Pantoja continued his flyweight dominance that MMA has only seen in Demetrious Johnson. He choked out Kai Kara-France en route to becoming the winningest UFC Flyweight fighter in history.
