Frankie Edgar and Pedro Munhoz put on a barn-burner of a main event at UFC Vegas 7 that earned both men Fight of the Night honors.
Edgar and Munhoz each earned $50,000 for their ultra-competitive bout. Edgar ultimately eked out a split decision (48-47, 46-49, 48-47). Additionally, Trevin Jones and Shana Dobson were awarded Performance of the Night bonuses.
Event-opener Jones survived a crushing body shot and an onslaught of attacks from Timur Valiev in round one and managed to roar back with a second-round TKO. Dobson also faced adversity in the opening round of her fight with Mariya Agapova before earning a TKO at 1:38 of round two.
