Ronda Rousey Movie Project Put On Hold

MMA

Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey is planning on returning to the octagon at UFC 207 as she challenges current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes for the belt in the main event. However, if you are expecting to see Rousey light up your local movie theater, that may have to wait a little while as STX Entertainment executives have delayed filming for the action film 'Mile 22' due to problems with Rousey’s acting abilities, Bloody Elbow reports.

This isn’t the first film that has been delayed, as the remake of 'Roadhouse,' also starring Rousey has been pushed back. Rousey was starring as the female version of the Patrick Swayze character from the original.

Rousey hasn’t been in the public eye much, whether in MMA or acting circles after suffering a knockout loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 last year.

Rousey is also signed on to a three film deal with the Lifetime Networks (Lifetime & Lifetime Movie Network).  None of the three films she is set to be featured in have started any kind of production.
