Rory MacDonald, Right Now, Plans On Fighting Neiman Gracie Next

MMA

Bellator MMA Welterweight Champion Rory MacDonald fought Jon Fitch to a majority draw in the main event of Bellator 220, advancing to the semi-finals of the Bellator Welterweight World Grand Prix.

A semi-final bout against Neiman Gracie is less than two months away and MacDonald plans on competing against him...for now.

?I can?t really give a definitive answer (about my future),? MacDonald said at the post-fight press conference (via Steven Marrocco & Ken Hathaway of MMA Junkie). ?It?s an hour after the experience. But I?m going to sit back, I?m going to pray, and I?m going to see what God has in store for me, see what doors open up. But my plans right now are to go to the next stage and compete against Neiman (Gracie).?

MacDonald also said that he may have lost the killer instinct to compete, which Gracie has called bullshit.

One thing MacDonald believes that other doors are starting to open for him outside of fighting.

?There is another door opening on the horizon,? he said. ?When that is and what it is, I don?t know. But we?ll see.?

The fight between MacDonald and Gracie is expected to happen this June, but nothing has been made official at this time.
