Sean Strickland Suspended By Nevada Athletic Commission For Attacking Fighter At Tuff-N-Uff Event

Strickland rushed the cage and attacked a fighter.
There’s a story up on MMA Fighting which notes that Sean Strickland has been suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission for his actions at the Tuff-N-Uff MMA event.
Strickland rushed into the cage and attacked a fighter at the show in Las Vegas in June. He is facing a temporary suspension, and it is expected to be extended at the next commission hearing. That hearing is scheduled for June 23rd.
While the former UFC Middleweight Champion is suspended, he is unable to fight in the UFC. His full punishment will be decided at a later date.
The incident occurred after the undefeated Luis Hernandez choked out Miles Hunsinger in the second round. Hernandez then taunted Hunsinger’s cornermen, two of whom were Sean Strickland and fellow UFC fighter Chris Curtis.
Both rushed into the cage, and Strickland began throwing punches at Hernandez. Security jumped into the mix and separated the involved parties. Hernandez went on to tell MMA Fighting that he does not want Strickland to face any punishment.
“I really have nothing towards them, and hope the commission does not… like they even asked me, ‘Hey, you’re gonna press charges?’ I’m like, ‘What? No.’ I would never want anything to happen to these guys because I actually like them, and I hope they watch this. I have nothing against Sean, nothing against Chris, nothing against Xtreme Couture. I like those guys. …
I would say we’re all adults here, and I have nothing against them, and I will say this again: I hope the commission does not take this out on them at all because, at the end of the day, we’re all professionals and this is entertainment.”
Strickland last fought at UFC 312 in February and lost to Dricus Du Plessis via unanimous decision.
